Cashman (John B.) School is built.

Architect: Louis St. Amand. Originally the Walter Fernald School, it is located at 189 Paris Street. The school is renamed for the East Boston state senator in 1934. The school is subsequently closed. A new school is currently scheduled to be built on the site.
